Teaching Awards 2010 Grand Finale

27 October 2010

Some events are really rewarding, and none more so than the annual Teaching Awards.

The Teaching Awards set out to recognise and award excellence in education and AV Unit has been touring the country this year with the organisers, supporting each of the seven regional heats with stage set and rigging, lighting, sound, auto cue and visuals equipment and management.

The organisers are determined to give the well deserving teachers that are nominated for an award an evening to remember and so each event is held at a high-profile venue, with a full stage set rigged for each ceremony.

Each of the events was hosted and awards presented by local BBC presenters and other celebrities such as Carol Vorderman and Lord Melvyn Bragg and included the Teaching Awards president and Oscar-Winning actress Emma Thompson.

Delphine Milne, events manager for The Teaching Awards said: “We have toured with AV Unit for a number of years and were delighted to be working with them again. Their staff supported us from the start on the production supply and management side - from sourcing and visiting suitable venues with us, to providing ongoing management and support at each event.”

Then to top it off on Sunday 31st October, with the final, televised ceremony being held at the Palladium in London, we will be just down the road at the prestigious Park Plaza Westminster Bridge ensuring the exhibition and seminars, not to mention the awards winner’s Gala Dinner reflect the glittering final event.
