Projections are good for Haverhill school
12 November 2010Children at a Haverhill School are benefiting from a hi-tech addition to their classes following the donation of brand new projection equipment from AV Unit. We recently worked on an event with various schools from around the county and offered a specialist projector in a raffle to the schools involved.
Worth around £800, the so called short-throw qualities of the projector allow it to be used very close to the whiteboard or screen so it is safe for young eyes, reduces glare and gets rid of shadows. It can also be used in smaller spaces not usually suitable for more typical projection equipment.
Lyn Beale, the head teacher at New Cangle Primary School said: “Being able to connect a projector to a computer for lessons allows us to add an exciting visual element to learning for the children and this projector is the very latest in technical wizardry.” “We were very lucky to win the projector and are extremely grateful to AV Unit for donating it, the children love it.”
AV Unit’s managing director Adam Clark said: “As communications experts we’ve made an effort to understand the science behind how people learn and absorb information, and adding visual stimuli in the classroom via projection is an excellent way to help better engage children.”
“We’re really pleased that the projector has made a positive difference to classes and I hope the school continues to enjoy using it.”
